THE KAZULIN RUNABOUT EVOLUTION

Even though the Kazulin Family has been a part of the marine design and manufacturing industry for generations, their most coveted craft are runabouts built in Canada since the late 1970's. These pioneering designs of what became later known as retro style enjoy the historical cache associated with Canadian Mahogany Runabouts. However, they also represent a major evolution in the classic runabout style with their laminated African mahogany decks and composite fiber hulls. "The first few runabouts were produced in the garage of Velko and Tony's home, and went on to become modern classics which command owner devotion and high resale values.

The original Mistral defined our philosophy of using traditional runabout styling elements and reinterpreting them in contemporary design and materials. These were offered with three or five seat cockpit capacity and lefthand steering which remains an option available on our current models. The Mistral is no longer in production, but was the template for the next generations of Kazulin runabouts to come...
