Boris
Miladinovic, "The Wild B of the Sea" possesses a unique blend of experience
and skill.
Born in 1969, raised and educated in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, immigrated to South
Africa as young University graduate. Industrial Designer by degree, and international
ICSID award winner, established himself as one of the leading designers in certain
fields. Headed the creative team of a major Johannesburg based company, and
ran his own design consulting company. Also was the hands-on manager of a boat
building factory. His innovative spirit is supported by traditional art skills,
as well as various design software.
Boris learned to sail just a little bit after walking, and started building
and rebuilding boats with his father. Extensively cruised and raced various
sail craft, from traditional yachts to Olympic dinghies, in Mediterranean, and
later crossed the oceans, and continued doing so in South Africa and Canada.
Highlights of his sailing career were representing South Africa in Finn class
(Olympic single-handed dinghy), and sailing his 30' yacht from Cape Town, South
Africa, to Vancouver, Canada, in a probably record breaking* time. Lives permanently
in Vancouver from 2003.
